Nice looking kit but will it sell? There is already an Airfix kit in 1/48 that will be half the price.....My next question Why? There are a lot more deserving aircraft out there that deserved to be produced or "retooled". Really how many of you have this a/c on your wish list

Sorry Flypaper but I do want this kit and will buy at least two, just because the Airfix offer (Heller in fact) is an old boy and deserve to retire. And because the Stard or SEM (french nickname) is a true battle worthy aircraft with "death or glory" episodes in Les Malouines and even today in middle east. How many modern fighter cans show that kind of action ? Of course many a/c deserve also their model representation. But I just hope that the Etendard IV will be the one to come !!

The Super Etendard has certainly been on my wishlist. As St Miller points out the Heller kit is a bit past it now. It will be interesting to compare the Kitty Hawk release with the Super Etendard from Kinetic Models.

Heller kit is garbage. Not just Kittyhawk kit but AMK and Kinetic are doing one too!
Now I at least can do a Argentinian Super Etendard and the fantastic Tiger meet scheme.
Oh happy days.

Gentlemen be my guest buy dozens to add to your stash which will never be built because something new will comw along for you to chase after. Mw I'd rather wait for a more deserving aircraft to come along

Hey Flypaper, please to inform us of more "deserving" aircraft...you never mentioned any.

Hi Flypaper

There's no point asking a question if you're not prepared to accept the answer - and, if we're all honest, our hobby probably survives through us all buying far more kits than we'll ever build!

Like Laurie, I'm interested to know what you reckon are more deserving subjects - but that'd probably be better as "What Do You Want To See Kitted?" thread in the General forum. Of course, be prepared for folks to disagree with you - but, on the plus side, a number of our industry contacts do take note of opinions expressed here, so go for it.

All the best

It appears to have some moving control surfaces which is great! Hope they do this in 1/32nd eventually!

If I can get back to building I can guarantee AN SEM in my future. Lots of combat in it's history, attractive airframe, a versatile carrier aircraft. What's not to like? (aside from the heller tool).

Let's hope that they add that "arctic tiger" color scheme
