An interesting report with some curious photographs showing a Spitfire of the RAF carrying beer kegs under the wings. I've never seen this. Can anyone tell what the purpose of it ? To see these curious and unbelievable photos, visit the link below:

These Beer Kegs were used to fly (unofficially) Beer to the front lines in France. Italeri have made a kit which included the kegs. It is still available, this listing is from Hannants but you should be able to obtain it from your locasl source https://www.hannants.co.uk/product/IT2696
