Hey everyone,

I'm currently working on Academy's 1/48 F-4C. The kit offers one decal option: Robin Olds' Scat XXVII. I'm a casual modeller and the reviews of the kit were very positive, so I followed the painting instructions without additional research. However, recently I saw a documentary with archive footage where the pattern of the SEA camouflage of F-4Cs was different from the one I'm building.

That bugged me, so I did some research and I seem to have found multiple different patterns (most of the differences seem to be minor) on archive photos. Is that possible? If it is, is Academy's guide to Scat XXVII accurate?

I couldn't find pictures of the original Scat XXVII from all sides and the one preserved in a museum seems to be different from the original.

I uploaded a photo on my account where I marked the minor differences I'm talking about.
