I have been working on this model for just a little while and wanted to show how great it fits and looks. The engineering of this kit is outstanding, if fits so well that very little sanding and filling is required when building. I used the Eduard detail kit for the cockpit but don't feel that it needs anything else to make it better. I will be painting it in British training colors, in a "what if "scheme. I don't think that they are flying this late model of the Tucano but just can't resist the colors.

I look forward to seeing some pictures. I'm going to buy this kit when my preferred hobby shop gets it back in stock.

one thing that Hobby Boss did was to mold the canopy and windscreen with the proper profile, making it necessary to sand a mold seam right down the middle of it, so I used micro mesh 6000 grit and then dunked the canopy in Pledge floor wax. This is the same stuff I use to gloss coat before and after decal application.

Great job on the Tucano Doug.
I have seen some nice exotic South American camo schemes for these machines, is that you are planning to do as well?
I will follow this with interest.

The Afghan air force is supposed to have taken delivery of their first EMB-314s last year. But I couldn't find any pics.

Your Super Tucano is looking superb Doug. Great looking kit and the Eduard PE bits add some real eye candy to the cockpit. I'm really looking forward to further progress.

thanks guys, I have applied the clear gloss coat now and have begun the decals. I have liberally borrowed decals from several sources like the Xtradecal set for the Jet Provost and others from kits, I will post a picture of the progress shortly.
