Just before the end of 2015 i bought an Academy f-16. I mainly picked it up because it was sold for only £5. However i was a quite impressed about the detail on the kit. As soon as this year got started i cracked on this kit and it was fun to build something a little different for a while.























During the painting i did feel like i screwed something up when i tried to do a panel line was. However, i still managed to fix the paint stains by dry-brushing.

this is the model currently with the base coat and the decals. but i still need to do a panel line was and some other things.

That's one nice looking F-16C. You did an excellent job on the camo paint scheme.

A panel wash is really pretty easy to do. just seal the paint and decals with your preferred clear matt finish. Then just make sure that the base for the pin wash isn't compatible with the clear sealer so it won't dissolve any of it. I personally like to use Testors Model Master enamels thinned with their Universal Mineral Spirits.

There are dozens and dozens of You Tube vidoes on Pin washes, just google it and take your pick.

I'm doing my panel line wash using water colour paints, since it's easy to work with and to clean up. Afterwards i hope to seal it with a varnish.
