Go to Des Delatore's website wwiaircraftmodels.com I think he has a link to some wood manufacturers if that's what you are asking. There were several types with 4 blade props, i.e.; the SE5, Siemens Schuckert D III, RE8, Bristol F2B, and some pusher types among them. VR, Russ

Thanks Russ. I saw a post just down from this one as well, but no way to see the prices and types etc. I think they went outta business.

Steve,
There is a product article here (somewhere anyway) on Aerocale for Doug Craner German Propellers-- you might try and google Doug Craner to see what comes up-- it looks like he's from Great Britain. There's another article over on Large Scale Planes on Paul Dunham's Wingnut Wings LVG with scratch-built prop (although it's two bladed) and how he laminated stained basswood to make it. Since you are in Vancouver I think-- there has been a guy who used to come come to the Seattle IPMS show who sells hand carved WWI props in 1/32 scale. I can't remember his name, or if he was there last year-- but someone in the leadership might remember who he is. VR, Russ

Thanks Russ. Some of the wooden ones look a little out of scale or something. Like they are for RC planes. I may take 2 2 bladed and make one 4 blade and cast a couple from that. I have one pic of a Gotha with 4 bladed props.

Hi Steve

I was going to suggest Doug Craner myself, but I did receive e-mails a little while ago from one of our members who'd had real trouble getting in touch with him. Doug's work is simply fantastic, so let us know how you get on if you do try to contact him.

All the best

Thank you muchly you guys!
I'll follow the suggestions here and we'll see what happens. I wouldn't attempt a scratchbuilt laminated wooden prop , making 2 4 bladers ya , no thanks!

I would make one and cast 2.

I found an email for him and sent off. Found some pics as well , really nice , these are the ones I'm looking for , realistic and to-scale.

The viable propeller makers for 1/32 will usually stick to WnW kits only. or you send them an example in plastic and they will make it up for you in wood. 4 bladed props on a Gotha sounds interesting. Tell us more.

Not much more to tell. Wooden prop manufacturers are hard to come by. I will prolly make one from the kit props and cast 2 from that.
Thanks.

Steve,
I think Stephen was asking more about the particular Gotha you are modeling, and I'm intrigued too-- especially in combination with the other thread you have going on the 2cm Becker gun-- this sounds like an interesting project.
