Great weathering work Joe. I also think the subtle color transitions of your main color is very well executed and is very pleasing to the eye.

Great build Joe, your streaking and weathering came up beautifully. The end result looks so much more than a "box-stock" Revell kit build.
Well done.

It is nice to see what can be done with an old kit like this one!

I'm confused, the red surround means that it would be a mid 1943 bird, and should it therefore not be a full tri-color with gloss sea blue on the topsides?
I could never get the cowl/engine to fit nicely on mine. Your streaking and staining is great!

Many thanks all.
Matt you could be 100% correct. I followed what the instructions called for. We all know how accurate they can be.
Well the Kingfisher is finished.
About the kit. Not really a bad kit. Went together ok. I will say construction would be much easier with the main float cut away from the fuselage. This would allow a less awkward situation for both the construction and seam work. The decals were a bit thick but they went down fine.
All in all I am happy with the paint work. It has a used but not abused type of look.

Finestkind. I was wasn't so far behind on my other builds, I make hanger queens faster than anyone, I'd go dredge this one out of the stash and get started...

Joe,
She looks brilliant! You do a great job of fading the paint! It's definitely pleasing to look at.

Who could possibly ever really know what happens to markings during war time, I figured the instructions had shown the painting as such.
End of the day, it's a good looking bird. Well done.
