Does anyone know if someone has made a kit for Raytheon's famous Voodoo 1? I've photographed their modified B727 landing at LAX, but would love to have a scale version of it.

Thanks,
Chris M.

It shouldn't be terribly difficult to convert a regular 727, and either the Airfix or Minicraft kits are widely available. From what I can see, you'd need a new nose plus a few lumps and bumps, depending upon which test equipment you want it to be carrying.
I'd think that the back of a Phantom's centerline tank is about the right shape to become the new nose.

For there you have been, and there you will always long to return.

Thanks. That's the backup plan if I can't find just a single kit to do it. On the real aircraft, the nose is from an F-15.
