Landing gear? Um, silver (metal), I guess. The rest: zinc chromate. Hope this helps.

I'm looking at Barnes & Noble American War Planes of WWII and I hate to say it only sheds confusion on the matter. I really looks like the the main struts and hub are the same as the underside of the AC. The suspension looks aluminum.

I have the Squadron walk around and that would appear to agree with Scott. On natural metal aircraft the gear may have been unpainted too?

The landing gear itsrlf should be steel, and the strut(oleo) shoud be aluminum :-)

They are Silver and Aluminiun.
