In their 1/32 Spitfire Mk. VIII, Tamiya has you paint the rectangular oil pressure gauge yellow, and the rim of the boost gauge that's right next to it red; would this be correct?
I understand that four instruments on the right side of the instrument panel (boost, radiator temperature, and oil temperature and pressure) were color-coded, I have seen orange, red, green, yellow, and light blue in various combinations, but was there any concrete system to this coding? (were the oil-related instruments always yellow, for example)
