I just received a Douglas ERA-3B Skywarrior kit and I have one question.
One literature search states that all A3's were carrier based and another resource states the ERA-3B was land based due to the equipment in the bomb bay could not withstand a catapult launch even though it could sustain the stress of a cable arrested landing.
Can anyone enlighten me to the correct answer?
Thanks,

The Wikipedia article says that the bomb bay equipment wasn't stressed for catapult launch and therefore they were strictly land based. I'm not surprised, because by the time the ERA-3s were converted the Whale was pretty much entirely land based anyway.
