Did some catchin' up on this one. Really nice. Like that added detail of the paint over spray on the prop.

Hello!

I want to present my work of this iconic aircraft of WW2 : P-51D Mustang.
Kit is from Tamiya, one of the best 1/48 aircraft models IMHO.



I will represent the bird of capt. Donald S. Bryan, "The Little one" . Markings are from Eagle strike "Blue nose Birds of Bodney" .





Main construction is almost complete, I will show pictures later, have to do some improvements.

Minimum aftermarket will be used here (only resin wheels and canopy mask from Eduard), most is scratch.

what did you do to the struts? or are the altered ones aftermarket?

I am going to build the same kit soon.

This is a great build but I wish you would explain to greater detail. Those of us who have very little experience in altering and using after market stuff are very interested in knowing your techniques and methods in deeper detail.

For example, what does PE mean?

This build is driving me crazy, its awesome. I have sooo many questions!!

It look incredible!

How did you do the landing flaps? Did you use any aftermarket parts?

Hi,

PE means PhotoEtch in short, sorry for not explaining

I used only parts from left-over photoetch frets, all is scratch work, no aftermarket here, except the resin wheels (the reason is that I have lost the wheel rim for the plastic one).
