Group,
I'm building a Cobra for a retired Cobra pilot. He commanded a unit in July 1969 and this is written on the back of his photo:
"ABtry 2/20th ARABN 1st Cav Div"
What markings would his AH-1 have? Are there 1/32 decals for the unit?
Thanks,
Fred

The unit was 2d Bn, 20th Aerial Rocket Artillery, 1st CAV Div. The pilots were actually Field Artillerymen who took to the air to fire rockets. The unit is currently an MLRS Bn still at Ft Hood, but now part of the 75th FA BDE.
Markings are included for one 2-20 ARA bird (Sounds of Silence) on the Fireball Modelworks 1/32 AH-1G HueyCobra Part 1 U.S. Army in Vietnam decal sheet. It is the second Cobra down (option B) on the cover photo, with the blue Iron Cross on the sail.
There are also enough additional generic decals and numbers, along 2-20 ARA and 1 CAV patches to make any helo from the unit.
The Fireball Modelworks decal sets are awesome and I highly recommend them.
