Hi Winston,
Very nice details so far! I'm gonna follow along. I hope to reduce my stash with copious building this year and get a Foxbat somewhere.

Thanks, Kit is the first Kitty hawk kit I've done. Little surprised by how much work it takes to get everything to fit right.

Winston,
You've made a great start to what I hear is a somewhat difficult kit. Your PE work in the intake ramps, and the exhausts really looks fantastic.
Looking forward to your next update.

Winston,
Disappointed to read that the kit is such a beast. Problem is that sometimes we have to suffer to build some of the rarer subjects not covered by Tamiya or Hasegawa.
Still, your work looks great! What paints did you use to get the copper and brass look?
Still amazed at some of your painting effects!

Too bad to hear that this kit has its problems with construction. I have a kitty Hawk Jag A in my stash which also seems to have its flaws.
Nevertheless your build of the beast is really looking good. Your preparation for the main color looks very interesting. Looking forward to see more!

Thanks,
All the paints are the new Mr Paint from the Ukraine. I can't say enough nice things about these paints. I will probably convert all my paint to these and the True Earth weathering products.

Winston,
I'm really impressed that you got the beast together, primed and pre-shaded. I'm really looking forward to seeing just how that copper pre-shading looks with the top color applied.

Your experiences seem to be par for the course for Kitty Hawk kits. They're very adventurous subjects which need careful and laborious building. But once you're done, you've got a model few other people will do
I'm looking forward to the finished product now, because it appears that you've conquered the beast.
