The wait is almost over and Special Hobby's 1:32 Hawker Tempest Mk. V is just a couple of weeks away from hitting the shelves. The kit looks to be undoubtedly the company's most ambitious and sophisticated aircraft kit to date, featuring CAD-produced styrene mouldings, accompanied by etched and resin details, painting masks and flexible seat belts.

This is good news Rowan, I'll start saving my pennies for this one and hope the Mk.II is not far behind.

Hi Luciano
I'll definitely be up for the Mk. II as well!
I've just added the price to the News item and it's looking like Special Hobby should have a real winner on their hands, coming in at just over £60.
All the best
Rowan

Two styles of propeller but only one style of spinner? Early Tempests had shorter spinners like the Typhoon.

Very tempting... but JF°E from French ace Pierre Closterman seems to miss its nickname stencil : "Le Grand Charles" as a reference to General Charles de Gaulle, leader of the french resistance in England. Also spinner was supposed to be red.

Hi Chris
This is a new-tool. PCM's Tempest was produced for them by Sword if I remember correctly.
All the best
