Hi all,
First WW1 model and I am interested in the Lafayette escadrille. So I am working on the special hobby 1/32 neiuport 11, but will also be building 16's and 17's.

I have done some looking in the web at pictures of rigging, but it has been real tough. I found some good close ups of the side fuselodge turnbuckles, and also the front wire bracing for the landing gear. But am having trouble with the rest of it.

I would like to use the turnbuckles from Gaspatch, but don't know which ones to get.

Can someone help me out?

Originals and replicas seem to use the "A, B & C" types. It depends on the location of the attachment. Lower fuselage or lower wing for the "A & B" types. The "C" types are more suited to the internal structures. Turnbuckles were located on the lower ends of the cables for ease of access. The upper ends were attached to simple loop / eye anchors.

Hey thanks for the reply! That's a big help. In a lot of the B&W photos it appears that some of the turnbuckles have been wrapped? Am I right about that?

The turnbuckles had to be adjusted or "tuned" on a regular basis. Not viable to wrap them. Maybe due to extreme wet weather? I would say generally, no.
