I started the Fisher Sea Fury a number of years ago and actually began a build thread which faded away over time. The kit was finally completed and it had it's moments. Completely out of the box build and my first completed all resin kit.

That is a beautiful build Peter, very nice work.

I love the spinner, was that masked and painted or decals? Either way, it would have taken some real effort to get such a neat result.

Thank you for the very kind comments on the Sea Fury. The spinner for the most part was masked and painted and only the very thin black separation lines were decal strips.I was surprised how long it did take to complete the spinner, as there was a ton of masking needed.
I do have some in progress photos and will be glad to post them in a few days.

Thank you for the very kind comments on the Sea Fury. My basic technique for gloss finishes is to work through the primer coat and then all the color coats, with numerous, very thin layers. Once dry, the finish is super smooth and then I'll apply a few very thin coats of Future (I'm into using Alclad Glosses now). Decals and then a few very very thin top coats. I almost never rub out or polish my finishes.

Glad to help. The trick is super thin layers, built up slowly. I normally keep my compressor set between 12-18 psi depending on the paint I'm shooting.
I do paint mainly with an H&S Infinity CR Plus and a few different Iwata airbrushes depending on what type of work I'm doing; HP-CS Eclipse, Revolution CR and a HP-M1.
