The Boeing 787 carries 242 to 335 passengers. The A380 seats up to 853 people. So it is slightly bigger than the 787.
I think it could be better compared to the old Boeing 747 altough it is also bigger than that iconic giant that has maximum 660 seats.
The A380 is currently the biggest passenger plane around.
