Can't really go wrong with a Tamiya. Oh, I'm not I'd call that 'trying to get back', it's looking good really nice!
what kind of image posting trouble do/did you have? That they're sideways?
I see you've taken the pictures with an iPhone - they get displayed sideways because when you take landscape format pictures on a mobile an orientation tag is written in the image file telling which way should be 'up'.
Here is a brief article about it. You need to get the tags and rotation sorted out before uploading and they should turn out right. Or use an image hosting service that allows rotating the images.

Rodney,
Welcome back to the hobby. As for Aeroscale, you're going to really like it here.
From what I can see of your J2M3 Raiden "Jack", it looks pretty good.

So I did a little weathering , tried to do some exhaust streaking and soot for the guns.

Rodney,
Smashing! I love the light weathering and chipping. With aircraft, less weathering is more.
What's next?

Very nice work Rodney! If this is your first model in six years, we have a winner on our hands. And welcome to AeroScale, I think you'll really like it here.

Rodney,
Congrats on crossing the finishing line with #1.
Overall, well built, painted, and weathered just enough for a well used but maintained operational aircraft.
Since your next build will be a NMF, are you using a Metalizer, or foiling like Gary is doing with his B-29?

No on the foil and metalizer, I will try Vallejo aluminum over a semi gloss black base. The fabric parts of ailerons, rudder and elevators will be silvers based on the paint discribtion in the book by Kagero Monographs Ki-84 Hayate. I will tint the base aluminum to have a few panels a different shade. Wish me luck

Hi Rodney I am thinking of buying some EZ line too. making an antenne is ok but full rigging with fishing line was very frustrating. Could be my lack of talent though :-).

Rodney,
Well done. Your final pictures of the Jack look excellent. Forget whether or not it's your 1st build, it's a rock solid build in my book.
As for the EZ line, everyone who uses it, seems to love the stuff. I've been a stretched sprue type of Guy since the early 70s but I'm going to give it a try too.
