Hey everyone,

I'm working on Revell's 1/72 Mi-24 which I want to turn into the helicopter (AF-0010) that was flown by mercenaries in Sierra Leone between 1995 and 1997.

Currently, I'm struggling with the colours of the camouflage, especially the "sand" colour. In some photos it looks like sand, in others yellow or a mix between yellow and green.

Was this a "special" Sierra Leonean colour or it's the regular sand from the Russian "sand and spinach" camouflage (even though the pattern isn't the same)?

If you are referring to this aircraft...

It looks to be the standard Soviet/Russian colors from the Sand/Green scheme to me.

Thank you for the reply!

Yes, I was referring to this aircraft and the first picture is completely new to me. I had the other two and a few others but most of them were poor quality pictures, so it was difficult to tell what the real colour was during the war.

Is there any chance you have a picture of the other side of this Mi-24? For whatever reason I have many pictures of it's left side but none of the full right side which makes painting the camouflage pattern difficult/impossible.
