I have been trying to mix colors from Tamiya to make AZURE BLUE with not much success. Anyone here know the formula to mix an acrylic version of AZURE BLUE?

The IPMS Stockholm colour charts say that the mixing formula for Tamiya is XF 18 + X14(?) so they seem a little unsure.

Another formula I found on the interwebs says X16:2 + XF2:10 + XF18:5

Tamiya's own instructions from their Spitfire Vb kit say XF 19:3 XF 54: 5

Mix what looks good to you and then dare the colour police to prove you wrong.

Jessica, thanks for the info. I tried the Stockholm formula and was not satisfied. But I will give the other 2 that you've posted a go.

This is the one I use. Looks good to me, but then maybe my eyes are shot.
X-14 sky blue - 6
XF-2 white - 6
XF-18 medium blue - 1
X-16 purple - 1

Add the purple a little at a time, it'll go sour quite quickly.

regards.
