Rowan,
Last year I built the CMK F2A-3 Battle of Midway version. Overall it's a great kit loaded with highly detail parts. Parts fit really was quite good. The only issues that anyone whose planning on building any of these Buffalo kits should be aware of, is that the wings are just a butt joint, so extra care is needed for the best joint fit you can get. Also the landing gear strut assembly is very weak, and honestly over the long run, won't hold up. I inserted steel pins in the strut attachment points, and drilled the corresponding holes in the gear frame. The result is a rock solid strut assembly. IIRC, there aren't any locating alignment pins either, but I didn't find that to be much of an issue.
Overall, I would highly recommend this kit.

Rowan, thanks for the review! I built the Tamiya kit in 1/48 last year and I have the Special Hobby 1/48 Finnish version. I have to get this one now! I love the Buffalo!
