I'm going to assume that picture is the F2H-2P option, and the F2H-2 is also still included in the release. If so, it's another must have. They're also listing the -3/4 for a separate future release.

I like Kitty Hawk Models, but this is not one of their better efforts. The intakes are wrong and the wing root comes up too high on the side of the fuselage. The fuselage also looks a little bit too fat. Looking at all the photos of the real aircraft you can see that the Banshee is a lean fighting machine. This kit's test shot looks to have a lot of attributes of the Banshee prototype.
I know that they announced this kit several years ago and they have put the Detail and Scale logo on the box. I really feel for them because there is a cadre of model critics out there who are going to throw all sorts of nastiness their way. We all aren't perfect and this isn't a perfect kit.
I doubt if they will be making corrections to this release, but I truly hope that they have the time between now and December to pull and Eduard (bf-109) or do what Great Wall Hobbies (F-15) does and make a course adjustment on the release of the Banshee. If they do I'll buy several!
I wish Kitty Hawk all the best, but I'll have to hold back on this one and wait and see how their Su-22 turns out.
