I was browsing the 56th FG SIG and I realized I have no idea how the different air forces are categorized. For example; theres the 8th air force, there are squadrons and groups.
Does any one have a chart of how the AAF was organized showing all the squadrons and groups?
I see these designations all the time but I have no idea how they are organized. Would be great to know.
Please excuse the civilian/layman ignorance.
