Which is your favorite/best Tamiya 1:48 F4U kit?
There are about 5 on Sprue brothers I am fantasizing about.
I dont have a preference for type, theater, or any other delineation. I love them all. I just want a kit that is challenging, detail minded an interesting to build, not necessarily easy to build.
I assume that most Tamiyas are worth building but I would like to hear of special details you find unique and worth buying 'your' kit for.
I cant afford after market upgrades so it will have to be out of the box.
Thanks all. I really enjoy hearing for the Masters and experts on here.

I'm working on the birdcage now. With the blue-grey topcoat, it gives it a much different look. Plus you can give it some extreme weathering.

Hi Julio
All Tamiya's Corsairs are excellent, so it really comes down to a matter of personal choice. I bought the F4U-1D kit #61085 recently that comes with a moto-tug and figures as an added bonus.
All the best

Julio,
Tamiya only molded three 1/48 scale F4U Corsairs:
F4U-1, F4U-1A, & the F4U-1D. Rowan posted that he bought the 1D with the Moto-Tug included.
All three are outstanding offerings with exceptional detailing. My favorite will always be the -1A.

Thanks Merlin, I saw that on the SprueBro web site. Got my eye on it.

Any specific reason you like the 1A?
