Hello to all of you!
I think abaout the buying of the Eduard Profipack of the MiG 21R
to put it on a runway together with the trailer with four RS-2US / AA-1 Alkali [url=https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/K-5_(missile)
everything standing on a ICM base mainly made from Soviet PAG-14 Airfield Plates and somme tuffs of gras at the side.
So the MiG is ready to being reloaded ss the it came back from the Bay of Pigs...
Are the rockets used there the Alkali air-to-ground missiles?
Js the Type R the right on for April 1961?
Am I completly wrong?
Can anybody help?
Yours,
GreyOrk

Looking forward to seeing this come together. I did this same build end of last year. Great kit. Almost ordered that trailer a couple of days ago. Wish I had.

Unfortunately it isn't. The Cuban AF operated no MIG-21's during the "Bay of Pigs" confrontation. As a matter of fact, the first Cuban Fishbeds (MIG-21-F-13) became operational in the summer of '63. Moreover, the FAR received its first "R" variants in '68 only.
