Special Hobby has re-released their excellent Me 163A. Way back in the 1980s, your editor built the Victoria Products vac kit of this aircraft. Fast forward 30 years, and the state of the art has produced a much superior kit.

The Komet is one of my favorite aircraft, and the 163a will look great alongside my operational Komet. Looks to be a superior kit, too!

I joined just to comment on this review. The SH kit is the same as the old Condor kit, which is a copy of the old KPM vacform. This kit is extremly inaccurate and wil not look like an Me-163A when build.

Pressed enter to soon, sorry. The resin parts and the Schlepper are indeed very nice. But the plastic is bad. Be prepared to do a lot of surgery f you want to make it into a A version of the komet.

That's interesting news. Can you elaborate what the inaccuracies are? What work will need to be done to make it accurate?

Sure, I think this article sums it up best:
https://robdebie.home.xs4all.nl/me163/model009.htm To quote Rob "the fuselage was extremely fat, the canopy looked very weird, the tail looked stubby, and its attitude on the dolly was most unnatural" The work needed is quite exstensive.
