An Albatros D.Va replica performed an emergency landing while flying from France to Headcorn Aerodrome in Kent, England on Sept.15, 2016. The aircraft apparently suffered power loss and came to rest upside down in a field between Pluckley and Bethersden. Thankfully, the pilot reportedly escaped unharmed.

According to Headcorn Aerodrome duty controller David Kember “The plane was damaged, but it can be rebuilt and repaired, but that’s what can happen when you’re operating a vintage aircraft, there is a slight risk. The pilot was able to land it safely and that’s the main thing.”

The aircraft is a precise replica that has appeared at numerous events around Europe in recent years.
