I have been away for a spell . Life got really busy with other stuff but I did manage on getting a bit of bench time in here and there .
This is built out of the box ..

Terri has in the past been mainly building WWI and Golden Years subjects, obviously the skills have transferred very nicely to the larger scale and later subject matter!

Hi James , I'm rather pleased with how the natural metal turned out . I used Vallejo new metal coat color range .

Terri,
Nice to see that you're not playing favorites with just naval fighters.
Your P-51D looks fantastic. I'm more then impressed with your NMF using the Vallejo NM paints. Looks every bit as good as my beloved Alcad2 paints.
For limited bench time, that's two outstanding big scale builds.

Thanks Joel . I have tried Alcad2 , but never like the results . A few later craks appeared on the surfaces on two 72 scale Mustang . Very sad it was and disappointing in the end . I have been looking for something more suitable and the who local shop carries it . You need to spray them in very light cotes , just mist it on in layers . You don't need a black base cote either but you can if you want . It dries very fast , won't lift . ( fingers crossed ) Very durable . It's a resin acrylic and cleans up with water .
I used Tamiya clean for the decals to settle down to , another coat of clear . Final seal with Tamiya semi clear with a touch of their flat clear . and it didn't effect the metal cote . Weathering was done with Flory wash , pigments and Tamiya's weathering sets .
