Hi all. This will be my entry to actually build Aeroplanes on this forum. As part of the Canvas Falcons campaign I will try to catch up some time and building skills on this particular subject. Been a very long time building an Aeroplane.
Scale to start with for the builds coming up will be in 1/48.

Kind regards,

Robert Jan

Robert Jan,

Great kit, I look forward to what you do with it. As a suggestion, you might want to post this thread on the Early Aviation Forum. Lots of Great War experts there!

Hi.
For today, after a long long time, I started with an aeroplane. Its a dual combo so stereo building engines (from one seat).

Hope you all enjoy, tips and hints are very welcome(for the near future)... This went rather smooth.

Time to get set for the final F1 qualifying sessions.

Kind regards,

Robert Jan

I can (and will) take care of that for you. Just didn't want to do it without your permission. Consider it done!

Hi all. Update on the builds.
Added another build to the Fokker Dr.1. It's the experimental Albatros Dr.1.
Started the kit some 4 years ago. Cleaned up the mess I made from it and now she is even ahead of the Fokker.
Hope you enjoy...

Very old kit, but superb fit. Saved it from trash.

Office and Engine room ready to close.

To measure the size. Unbelievable it's the same scale.

Glad with the results so far. So for tomorrow the Fokker will get some attention. Holiday in Thailand, so some extra time to build.

Kind regards,

Robert Jan

Hello everybody. Rain season is over, temperatures dropping, good modelling weather outside. Progress on my modelling is speeding up. Had a great weekend. Lots of things done and another model started. All goes within the campaigns.

Dr.1

And new to this building is the Salmson Moineaux. A spectacular plane! This came on my way as I was gazing at a build going on from a Caudron. Ordered the Caudron also. Great stuff they produce at CSM.

But this is some kit. First of all there is a lot of resin, very nice etch work, excellent decals and there is some photo copy. No leading plans. Searching the internet makes a good start. A little bit of dare devil and experience with some rare modelling is all you need. I simply love the plane because it is so different.
Some first attempt to give it a go:

Thanks to a guy, name is Sergey, for giving me the right inspiration. found his build on a Russian modelling site. Excellent modelling over there.

That's it for now.
Hope you enjoy.

Kind regards,

Robert Jan
