Sometimes the forums remember the pages you already visited and when coming back to "latest posts" from reading a thread you see a page starting with the post you last read. This is very handy as it often avoids having to scroll down several pages.
I say sometimes because indeed, sometimes it does, and sometimes it don't. It would be very handy to be able to force this behaviour with an extra button next to the "favourite forums" button.
what do you think folks, would this be an improvement?

Interesting thought. Not sure how difficult it would be for Jim to implement, and not sure how much I want/need another button. I typically just hold the 'CTRL' key down whenever I click a link to a forum thread in order to get each thread to open in a new tab. That way the behavior of the "Latest Posts" list is pretty much irrelevant.
