Hello,

James William Pearson joined 23 Sqn on April 6th 1918. It is reported that flying C3824 he engaged/ drove OOC/down to crash four enemy aircrafts (2x Albatros D.V, Pfalz D.III and Albatros C). Before his death in 1993 we was believed to be last surviving ace of WWI

What an amazing work! When I was scrolling down the pictures it took me a moment to realise these are photos of the model, not a museum exhibit. Very very nice!

Krzysztof,
Absolutely stunning job on the Dolphin, which is my favorite WWI aircraft. I'm tempted to get this one from Copper State Models, but I primarily work in 1/32 scale for WWI aircraft-- however you are changing my mind here-- if only some manufacturer would tackle this in 1/32 scale...(hint to Wingnut Wings ).

You know, I'm a bit miffed at WnW for not giving us thier normal "Xmas surprise" as in years past (unless you count six Camels as a "surprise", which I guess it was ) Maybe they could make it up to us by surprising us with a Dolphin and a Jenny or both next year. The Canadians flew more Jenny's than we did, so it would count as a Commonwealth aircraft I guess, but then again, it doesn't have any of those machine gun thingees at the front end, so it might not count! Then again, the US Army flew them as rifle armed recon aircraft during the Mexican Incursion-- so maybe? A Dolphin or Jenny would be great-- A Dolphin would almost complete the Sopwith stable-- with the only major missing pieces being a 1 1/2 strutter and a Baby-- can we hope, or are we being greedy now?
