OK! I might sound a reallyyyyy crazy guy these days asking for interior shots of weee bit items. Call me crazy, but I'm in search for the interior of the Sidewinder missile, whatever variant it is.

Thanks!

Yeah, but for a 1/24, it needs some details!

hehe, since you are such a detailing madness person, I am gonna see if my suggestion can be of a little help.

Basicly, all missles I seen are not as complicated or well detailed for a super detail as yourself, so my suggestion will be first obtain a detail drawing of the sidewinder. then use maybe copper tube scale to the 24th diameter to start with. Then resin cast clear resin seeker head in the same shape of the seeker head clear dome. then drilled out the tube at the location where the fins are attached. Use copper or plastic sheet to make fins.

Drill out the fins at the attachment point, insert copper wires, then attach to the missle itself, so they are moveable.

That's all I can think for the moment, if I got any new ideas, I will let you know.

Have fun, and can't wait to see it getting done.

I would imagine that the motor section and the warhead section are pretty much solid propellant and explosives filled tubes. The exact layout of the interior of the guidance section is more than likely classified.

There are a bunch of huge gif files at the link below of the outside, if you are so inclined...
About 60 jpegs and 5 gif drawings...
