I have an Accurate Miniatures SB2U-1 Vindicator, but need the canopy parts and instruction booklet.

If anyone can help I would greatly appreciate the help.

Bob - Found Czech made replacement set by HiPM on eBay - 8.95 + 3.95 s&h
Sorry I can't give you item number as it looks like e -bay no longer does that. I found it by searching 1/48 Accurate Miniatures in toys &hobbies - scroll down a bit - it's a ways down. Quality looks a little dubious in the pics but maybe just the photos.
Good luck. -Richard

Richard, thanks for the tip I will give it a try.

Update: Richard I found the canopy on Ebay for $12.90 and purchased same. Again thanks for the help, now if the USPS has no complications.

Bob,
Glad to see that you were able to get a replacement canopy. I've got a SB2U-3 that I'm planning on finally building this year in circa 1942 scheme. I'm assuming that you'll be going pre-war.

Looking forward to your build.

Joel' I had planned on using the kit for the Pearl Harbor campaign so it would have been in the blue grey upper / light grey lower. But to my surprise when I received the kit from ebay I had not inspected the contents and found that the interior and the lower wing to fuselage pc is missing. I am still trying to decide on a build for the PH campaign, I may go with the SNJ or T6 which I presume was in blue fuse and yellow wing not sure about the SNJ. Will need to do some research on the schemes for the T6 at PH.

I will be looking for your blog on your SB2U build.

Bob,
Sorry to hear about the missing parts. If you used Pay Pal, you can get your money back. I've don't that only once with a vendor from China.

Joel, I probably did not read the description correctly but all is not a loss I can scratch those parts in the future when I am feeling really frisky or this kit may come in handy in another way. BTW Ive never been bitten on eBay yet

I still will be waiting for your SB2U cause I know that I will learn much for mine in the future.

Bob,
Nothing like some added pressure even before the build starts.

The Vindicator canopy came today and I am pleasantly surprised. It looks really nice, (2) different types 1 closed 1 open.
