Sounds as if they were in a little too much haste Rowan. I wonder if future boxings might cure the sink problems or whether it'll be endemic to the kit? Also the ejector pin marks are disappointing as in their previous kits great thought was applied to putting them where it won't really show or where filling them would do the least damage. Still it sounds like a great kit and I for one will be adding it to my "must get and build" list.

Also my thanks for a great and speedy review that should make me stop whining about it. LOL

From what I've read previously about sink mark problems, giving the sprues a moment or two longer to cool before taking them out of the mould might cure things.

Probably part of the same issue here is the fact that you can see and feel thinner areas of plastic on the exterior surface (as in "flashed over" locating holes, or around the gun bays). I'll use my trusty levelling sanders to solve that easily enough.

Still, despite any negative comments, it is a really exciting kit.

The sanding products look fantastic Rowan however I don't actually see any reference to them on the MasterCasters website where would one purchase a set?

They have the same sanders and polishers . I've been using them now for about 6 now and I'm sold ! Awesome product and the sanders are also easy to clean after use .



Rowan , it is a nice kit with excellent detail , but the injector pin marks are killer . Still though a bit of time for the clean up of those and she will be a stunner !

Goodness - just look at that detail. Anyone remember when you had to go at least 1/32 to get this kind of detail!? Wonderful.
