Going to buy my first 109 in many many years and I want to buy the Eduard 109-G and because it's been so long I have no idea on what colours I will need.
Can someone help on choosing colour options in acrylics.
This kit:

Many thanks
Karl

There was a great variety of paint schemes for Bf 109s, so what you need to do is to pick a decal option from the kit and look for the colours specified in the paint guide.
For example, that box top painting looks as though it's in the standard mid-war scheme of RLM 74 and 75 camouflage over RLM 76 undersurfaces. There are many guides to colour matching the German RLM colours, and the colours often come pre-mixed from the manufacturers. Testors Model Master is one such range which has all 3 colours available.

If Gunze is available in your area, it stocks the 109 G main camouflage colours in the ETO, RLM 74/75 over 76. Tactical colours like red, yellow and green are also available.
As an alternative Vallejo Air, Xtracolor and Mig also stock these colours. These are a personal favourites.
Cheers

Eduard are very helpful in this regard, they have their instructions which includes the paint call outs available online so you can download and look at it prior to buying the kit. So you can potter about and buy the paint while you wait for the kit to arrive.
https://www.eduard.com/store/out/media/8268.pdf I notice your selected kit is discontinued from Eduard.

The picture is of the "oversized" Bf 109G, which is indeed discontinued. Eduard have new G-6's-late and early with different boxarts. Also G-5 and G-2

Cheers!
