I wonder if anyone can help with some referece material on this subject. I'm planing to do a Spitfire for the Overlord campaign, but I'm not sure what version to do. Would like to do a Spit with either clipped wingtips or perhaps in a ground support role, carrying bombs.
So, any help what so ever would be nice. Also some pointers what kits, aftermarket decals and other goodies to get.

Hi Thomas
I think the Hasegawa Mk IX is the only one generally available at the moment (in 1/48 anyway...). The kit includes clipped wings and bombs, but the decals aren't for D-Day aircraft.
All the best

And not to mention, its a pretty easy plane to build. I would go with that one.

On my way over to HLJ to order me a Hase MkIX, and take things from there. On the other hand I have a MkVIII already, but I think I have other plans for that...
