Hi guys finished this little gem a few days ago it took me two and a half days to build and was no trouble. I used hairspray chipping and didn't seal between layers so I had a multi layered effect with the oxide primer underneath and alclad underneath that !

Really nice James, it captures the look of the way Japanese paint that wore away very quickly.

I have to agree with the Chris, it is a very good looking Zero indeed.
The overall green weathering and chipping looks really good and probably not overdone (the chipping part) as I initially thought.
Congrats on a solid build James
Cheers

Pretty cool chipping technique!
As well as all the weathering you did.
Outcome looks great - a really worn suit. And the underside is well painted and maintained - must be because of the size of japanese mechanics, they oviously didn't reach the upper side

Thomas Chris and Pedro, thankyou ! I used a photo for a rough guide for the chipping maybe I was more restrained than the photo. Thomas I agree.. the hairspray didn't worknow nearly as well underneath. Thicker coat next time !

Thats a little gem, James.
The weathering and the chipping looks convincing to me.
