Hello!
Here are some photos of one of my latest efforts!
The model is the famous F-86F-30 Sabre.
The kit is Eduard`s offering as a limited editions and my friends... it`s well worth it!
The box contains 87 well moulded plastic pieces (Hasegawa), which turns the project on a fast ans hassle free build. Then, to top it off, Eduard
throws inside two sets of PE metal, (one coloured and one plain),an resin ejection seat and gourgeous decal sheet beautifully printed by Cartograph.

I leave you some in-progress shots as well as photos of the finished model.
A detailed article was published on the March issue of Airfix Model World.

Cheers to all!

The landing gear legs and pits were detailed with copper wire and monofilament.

The interior was painted with Tamiya XF-69 and lights were created with Lifecolor`s UA 030 Dark Grey;
The necessary wheight in order to avoid a tail seater was courtesy of some fishing lead beads;

The airbrake pit O poço do travão aerodinâmico foi pintado com Vallejo Model Air 71010 Interior Green e detalhado com acrílicos Model Color

One of the few areas that needed attention was the joint between the intake lip and fuselage;

Eduard PE set concentrated mainly around the cockpit details (perhaps the weakest point on the Hasegawa kit)

The fuselage received a gloss coat courtesy of Tamiya`s X-1 Gloss Black;

After allowing the proper drying time, the model received a base layer of Alclad2 ALC-101 Aluminium, followed by variations on different panels using
ALC-102 Duraluminium, ALC-105 Polished Aluminium, ALC-106 White Aluminium and ALC-115 Stainless Steel;

Prone to controversy, two layers of Tamiya X-22 Gloss Clear were applyed in preparation for the decals,
Which performed very well using the Microscale sistem.

Always a special moment... The model stands by itself and the final assembly sequence begins...

Final shots

It's like deja vu all over again! In the latest edition of Finescale Modeler, Aaron Skinner build this exact kit with the same markings to demonstrate Vallejo's new acrylic metal paint.

Gosh the -86 was a beautiful design! Perhaps the only jet that might be prettier is the Hawker Hunter, but I think at best it is a tie.

josé, excellent work.
