Hi everyone,
Suffering from that illness that affects most modelers, I started yet another project despite having 3 already ongoing.
This time i picked a very battered box, stashed away since 1997, Revell's Me.410 B.
Here are some pics, hope you like them. Feedback is always welcome
This area has to go so that cmk's gorgeous wheel pit below fits in

more soon I hope
Cheers
Pedro

Begin work with the resin wheel well. Instructions are a bit vague but I guess its a true insert fill in piece.
here's how it looks,
first attempt left wing
cutting was a tad overdone so filling it will be need
second attempt, right wing
much more tight fit
Cheers

Hi everyone,
Matt and Damian, thanks for the positive comments!
Work has been slow but steady. I am trying to get a reasonable looking cockpit using a few scratch and AM parts to complete the excellent kit plastic parts.
Gluing the 2 halves is a matter of time, taking in consideration that a few more parts need to go in the tube plus the partial remaking of the antenas located underneath the rear fuselage (kit parts are a bit oversized IMO. Hope all fits well.
Tested AK acrylics in the stabilizers...found that their RLM 74 is not the shade I prefer, so out came the old trusty Gunze. The 75 and 76 seem spot on.
Wheel wells glued and time to reshape the contours to fine perfection.
All other small parts are painted but not photographed, sorry.
Cheers,
Pedro

Hi Pedro, awesome job on the cockpit. I built this kit a few years ago and I really enjoyed it until I got to the canopy. It was not molded very well so I ended up using a vac form one. I look forward to your next update. Thank you for sharing with us. Dale

Don't forget to peruse Chuck's wonderful build and steal some ideas

Funny thing is I got my mojo to build this kit while I revisited Chuck's fabulous build.
However that is setting the bar way too high, I lack his skills, tools and computer image editing know-how

Hello,
Time for a long due update.
my work on this kit has been intermittent, and, not only because of life but also a couple of other bench projects going on.
Anyway, the wings are problematic but not impossible to get it done.
The kit air intakes are a weak point, because of their poor shape, being oval and not round...so getting the proper size and shape replacement took me some time.
Eventually i got some brass tube that seems close enough so surgery underway. Mind you that i don't have the proper tools to cut brass effortless
That engine cover will need some work to get a clean fit, and the underwing radiator has a cover that is about 1 mm too short... nothing that can't be fixed
Cheers
Pedro
