I don't know about you guys and gals, but this is one of the most exciting moments in modeling for me. The hours of assembly, careful sanding, polishing, and gluing my fingers together and of course dragging a fingerprint of glue or two across the fuselage, it's primed and ready to go.

This is a Tamiya 1/48 BF 109 E4 Tropical (kit 61063). I got it off of eBay for cheap, and it came with some resin and PE aftermarket. The PE was ancient, and the decals were crispy, so I bought a new set of decals and salvaged a couple of pieces of the PE and tossed the rest.

I'm not planning on building a historical plane, just something fun. I'm considering painting this one with the yellow nose and and grey/green scheme (c. 1940, Battle of Britain; JG 26ish).

Now to see if my hands can do what my brain thinks they can...
