The LAU-3 rocket pod delivered serious air-to-ground firepower during the Vietnam War. The pilot could fire rockets out of the LAU-3/a individually, rapidly in sequence, or all at once. The 19-shot pod was used as armament on the following US military aircraft: AH-1 Cobra attack helicopter, UH-1 Huey gunship, ACH-47 Chinook "Guns-A-Go-Go", and the F-100 Super Sabre fighter jet.
