Hi! After 90% completing my Academy 1/48 AH-64A Apache, I become inlove with this craft. I'm quite disappointed with the Academy helo because of it's bad fit and many unwated pin marks. Any better AH-64A there with best fit and good details?
Also, on which Apache does best suit these Eduard PE sets?
-Armament set - #32103
-Exterior - #32098
-Interior - #32097
I've notice it does't have any recommendations on specific kit.

Best out there is Hasegawa one. Because the Academy A is not a true A, if I remember correctly.
Be careful when purchasing Eduard PE for the A, they have a set for Academy, and a set for Hasegawa though.
Gonna do interior for Hellfire as well? (++) #:-)

I've seen in their website that the 3 sets are for the 1/35 scale. Are there really 1/35 scale of this chopper?
Not this time #:-) I'll wait for the larger version of this. Hopefully they make a 1/24 scale of this unit. I MAY do the interior of the rocket pods. :-)

Yes - I have Kangam's AH-64A and their -D Longbow. The biggest complaints with the -D Longbow Apache is that the kit is really their first Apache, and does not offer the revised cockpit nor the larger sponsons that mark the -D variant.
Kangam's -A model isn't too bad and does look like an Apache when built. It offers room for additional detailing - hence the photoetch detail sets. I'm not aware of a resin or photoetch set produced (yet) to correct the basic flaws in their -D Longbow Apache unfortunately.

The largest AH-64 kit out there is the old Revell 1/32 scale AH-64A. I believe it came out around 88 or 89 and even had sidewinder missiles. Don't think it's the best though.

Shonen,
I own all of Academy types of Apaches, (3) Monogram Apaches, all of the Testors
offerings, (there are 3) AND got the BEST bang for MY $$$ when I bought the Hasegawa
kits. Both "A" and "D". There are also (3) PE sets from Eduard, and the Verlinden detail set.
I own everything you can buy for the Apache in 1/48 scale, so I write with experiance on the looksy in the packages. With the Hasegawa kits you will be AMAZED, you'll DROOL, and you will be very happy. They are the best. ENJOY Tod

I'm building the Hasegawa 1/48 AH-64A as we speak. It's going to turn out great.... and I'am really happy with it.
I got mine from Sprue Bros. for 24.99 and 6 bucks for shipping.Still think Gordon mis-priced it.... as the others on his site go for 29.99 plus 6 for shipping. I'm doing it ootb.
I should be done with it... in another week.... and will post some pic's.
