Hi guys-

I recently posted this model in the RRB, and recieved some comments on the antenna wire being taught, not slack. I had asked earlier - and was told that on the A3 the wire remained tight, even with the canopy open. However, I just looked at the excellent D-9 by Bender, and noticed that he did his wire slack. Did I get mine wrong? I'd like to correct it if I did - so don't hesitate to set me straight :-)

Thanks guys :-) I just wanna know the truth... hehehe It was my first plane model, so I learned alot along the way.

Later-

Hi Jeff, I found this pic, the wire can just be made out and it is tight so you have got it right.

jeff,
you have it right, the difference is the canopy style, yours is the early, which was on many versions of the 190s including up to the D9, D11 and D13s, the blown canopy which came on later versions of the 190 the antenna was slack it did not have a tensioner.

great work on your 190, the flaps look great did you scratch build?

jrnelson - Here is a close up of the pulley system to keep to antenna taught. The 190F series didn't have this system nor did the Ta-152, so sleep well you did it right.
( Based on my reference material )

Below is the Ta-152 antenna attachment point

:-) Yep, as already stated, you got it right. If anything you would need to show the wire inside the canopy, But I wouldn't risk destroying your canopy for that. Unless it comes off easily. With this ability to produce such a Nice 190 I bet you will be doing more, you can add it then. Don't forget to let us see :-)

Awesome guys :-) Thanks for the information!

I had fun with the wingy thingy - alot different that armor...... that's for sure :-)

I will get the Tamiya 109 next - see what I can do with that... lol

Bender - the flaps are from the Eduard PE set - overall, pretty gool set.

Thanks again guys :-)
Jeff
