I've been interested in buying the Kitty Hawk Lightning in this scale for a long time. Wonder how this will compare.

You could be right there Anthony. I have built a couple of Mengs excellent F-102's. if the Lightning II is half as good it will be a decent kit

Thank God. If their attention to detail stays true we will have a 1/48 scale gem of the Lightning II.
