Hi Kevin
Neat - I can definitely see this featuring in some largescale vignettes and dioramas. But isn't it more WW2/Korean War vintage than modern day?
All the best

Perhaps not modern day but still using them up into the sixties and seventies. Louisville Slugger used them to pull a train of old RR baggage carts full of wood blanks from their drying yards to the factory in downtown Louisville.

That would have been around 1955 thru 1961 give or take.

Hi Michael
Many thanks for the extra info. It tallies with what I was thinking. I just found a useful page with plenty of detail shots of a restoration project restoration project. That vehicle had apparently undergone a major overhaul in 1951 before going on to serve for many more years.
My interest was also definitely piqued by other references to the RAF also using them in the 1940s - something I'd not come across before.

Got mine on it's way to Thailand already. He is a quick supplier of a very good detailed product line and reasonable good old pricing. Can't wait to see this on arrive.
Kind regards,
Robert Jan
