I was looking for a review on the FUJIMI F6F, but could not find any. I am trying to find out the differences between the FUJIMI and OTAKI/ARII kits.

Hi Bob,
I never built the Fujimi but I still have my Otaki/Arii. I looked at the Fujimi on line and my experience with other Fujimis and Otakis leads me to suggest to buy the Otaki one.
The Fujimi F6F is a couple of years older and it looks like their canopy is too shallow. The landing gear looks too fat and the cowl front looks weird, too. I built Fujimi's Bf 109 and Fw 190D; they have fine raised rivets and good detail. Never built Otaki's but a friend did and I preferred Fujimi's.
I was looking at my Otaki Hellcat just the other day. It is a nice kit. Otaki used (oversized) recessed panel lines. Fujimi used very fine raised rivets and fine recessed lines. I'll bet the F6F has those, too.
FWIW, if I would get the Otaki F6F over the Fujimi kit.
If this helps, this is my review of the Fujimi Zero: http://aeroscale.kitmaker.net/review/12992
Here's the review of Fujimi's Bf 109: http://aeroscale.kitmaker.net/review/1562

Hi Bob, are you looking at 1/48 scale?
I have my eye on an old sealed kit and I may pull the trigger. I could always do an open box on the kit when it arrives. I'm not sure if that would be quick enough for you. It would probably be about a 3 week wait.

Thanks Frederick and Kevin, It looks like I will go with the info and links that Frederick has given. So it will be the Otaki F6F.

Hi Bob - if it's economy or nostalgia you are after I get it - however the Eduard kit is superb and if you get the weekend version it may not be much more $-

Howdy,
Here's a look at what's in the box of the Fujimi kit.
