Is the AMT ERTL MESSERSCHMITT BF-109G FIGHTER PLANE 1/48 SCALE #8882 worth $13.99. I do not know who the original manufacture of the kit was.
The price was too good to resist.

It's a Rebox 1990, origin is Otaki and later Arii in the 80's.Last rebox was Matchbox.
Well, quite a retro kit but I think around $10 would be ok.

I find Scalemates to be an excellent tool to check up the quality of kits, whether it's a new tool or not and so on, sometime you can find reviews of the kit in a different box as well, if there is no review listed for the specific version you've got. AMT/Ertl Bf109G

The AMT/ERTL kits are old but decent. I did an open-box review on the F4U-1 Corsair. It's a clean kit with almost zero flashing, clean panel lines and a good fit. What it may lack in some detail can easily be rectified with after market and/or scratch built parts, but I'm sure there's plenty of aftermarket that would work for that kit and make it look just fine. I seen these kit's sell between 10.00 and 15.00 dollars. it seems to be a normal and fair price. Do a sold listing search on the kit and it will give you a good idea of the market value.
