Greetings all,
Just as a quick reference I have added this image below. Recently I had a couple of fellows contact me and ask what the main visual differnce was between the Alb. D.V & D.Va. They were mistakenly under the impression that it was the auxilary strut that led from the lower wing leading edge to the bottom of the interplane Veestrut. Of course it is not. So I was hoping it might help the average neophyte to have this image in their files. The image is of Ltn. Kurt Katzenstein in his Alb. D.V while with Jasta 55.

Here is the typical aileron control for the Alb. D.III & D.Va. The cables pass through the lower wing out to the interplane strut and out up to the aileron. Photo by James Fahey
