Academy Models has released a Special Edition of the SB2C Helldiver and Eirik Sandass provides some background for the Helldiver and a review of the kit.

Hi Tim - I don't about "finally" - Erik says this is a reissue of a kit that came out in 2005.

I think you're both right in a way. This is, in my opinion, the first "buy one box, get what you need" solution. The first version needed aftermarket PE for the same result. The molded dive brakes untreated (i.e. not drilled up) would not look very good.
